Greensboro, N.C. — July 23, 2025 – Hawthorne Residential Partners, a fully integrated multifamily investment, management, and development firm with a portfolio of over 63,000 apartment homes across the Southeast, has announced the sale of Hawthorne at Mirror Lake, a 250-unit apartment community located in Villa Rica, Georgia.
Hawthorne acquired the property in 2015, which at the time included 154 units originally constructed in 2002. In 2018, Hawthorne successfully developed an additional 96 units, bringing the community to its full 250-unit footprint. The sale closed in June 2025, with CBRE representing Hawthorne in the transaction.
The combination of strategic expansion and operational enhancements positioned Hawthorne at Mirror Lake as a high-performing asset in the fast-growing West Atlanta submarket. “This community represents a prime example of our ability to enhance and expand existing assets while delivering meaningful results for our investors,” said Ed Harrington, Founding Principal at Hawthorne Residential Partners. “We’re proud of the long-term impact this asset has had on the local community and look forward to pursuing new opportunities with similar growth potential.” The new owner will rename the community as part of their rebranding strategy. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
